There are a lot of acronyms to learn in the humanitarian sector, like CBPF. Country-Based Pooled Funds allow donors to pool contributions into single, unearmarked funds to support local humanitarian efforts in new and deteriorating crises. They are managed by OCHA under the leadership of the Humanitarian Coordinator and in consultation with the humanitarian community. The funds support the highest-priority projects of the best-placed responders, including international and national NGOs as well as UN agencies.
If you would like to learn more about CBPFs, including how many contributions and allocations were made in a specific country, or how many projects and partners were funded, CBPF Grant Management System (GMS) is the place to go!
